FLASH ART
Flat Flash Panel with Three-Dimensional Light Output.
The unique, patented flash panel emits parallel rays, but as these are generated over the entire area of a flat panel, it achieves the characteristics of sunlight, particularly with regard to the shape and size of shadows.
With a guide number of 12 (ISO 100) you can shoot at f5.6 at a disance of 2m, with a light creating stunning special effects. It is thus ideally suited for photographing interiors and for portraits, obviating the need to create complex lighting structures. Needless to say, that this flash also consigns the red-eye effect to history.
In designing this flash, special attention was paid to ensure it was optimally adapted to the characteristics of the components in use with digital cameras. The resulting definition is significantly superior to that achieved with conventional flashes.
Macro photography with this flash is possible using f 16 (ISO100) at ratios from 1:5 to 3:1. A built-in focus light allows both easier focussing in low light and a preview of the resulting illumination.
As it is possible to use “Flash Art” at a distance of up to 45 cm from the optical axis, you have the facility to vary the lighting from almost completely shadowless to pure contrasted backlight. The various Novoflex flash-arms, – brackets etc. will aid you in positioning the flash in endless combinations.
