With the BALPRO 1 NOVOFLEX introduces a new version of a universal bellow. Thanks to a complete system of adapters, combinations of different lens and camera systems is possible. So you can not only combine most medium format lenses but also nearly all KB lenses or special lenses with camera bodies in each size up to the 6x7 format.

With its compact construction the BALPRO 1 is also suitable for outdoor photography and with the Novoflex-automatic reverse adaptor for EOS (EOS-RETRO) the BALPRO 1 becomes a fully automatic bellow for the CANON EOS system.

Tilt- / Shift-bellows BALPRO T/S

Up to now, only users of a few camera systems have been able to enjoy the benefits of tilt and shift lenses. Now the accessory specialist Novoflex is bringing out the BALPRO T/S tilt/shift bellows. This opens up completely new prospects for ambitious architecture and nature photographers.

The new bellows rounds out Novoflex's comprehensive offering of high-end bellows. Following on the Novoflex BALPRO 1 universal bellows, the BALPRO T/S now provides a perfect tilt/shift bellows system for cameras up to a 6 x 7 cm format. The tilt and shift functions are just what professional architecture and nature photographers have been waiting for.

The combination options are practically inexhaustible: virtually all 35 mm and medium-format lenses as well as special lenses can be used with nearly all 35 mm and many medium format cameras up to 6 x 7 cm. Canon EOS systems even support full transfer of all data between camera and original lens via a special accessory.

High-precision controls, an attractive design and high-calibre manufacturing make this the perfect macro add-on.

The Novoflex BALPRO T/S provides a tilt and shift function at the front and back of the bellows; the standard adjustment is 26 mm horizontally, the rotation 15° left and 15° right. In normal shooting position, you can take ideal photographs according to Scheimpflug. Turn the bellows by 90° to portrait format to compensate for converging lines. The BALPRO T/S has markings at the O and centre positions.

Novoflex offers three special lens heads (Componon S) by Schneider in Bad Kreuznach for the BALPRO 1 und BALPRO T/S bellows. These lens heads are flush-mounted permanently on the bellows.

These three lens heads allow adjustment to infinity with all cameras: 35 mm SLR cameras require the 80 mm lens head, the Mamiya 645 the 100 mm lens head, and Hasselblads the 150 mm lens head. The setting for 35 mm cameras ranges from infinity to 1.8x enlargement.

PROshift+ Adapter
Double your data volume

Would you like to double the data volume of your digital photos? No problem if you have PROSHIFT+, another bright idea from the accessory specialist Novoflex.

PROSHIFT+ doubles the data volume on all digital SLR cameras with interchangeable lenses. With the Canon EOS 20 D, for instance, you get up to 20 megapixels; with the CANON EOS D60 or 10 D models, 16 megapixels...and equivalent gains with other similarly adaptable cameras.

Fitted to a Novoflex bellows, the Novoflex PROSHIFT+ is used to take 2 or 3 individual shots using parallel shift and multiple exposures. These partial images are then merged automatically to a complete image using an appropriate program (Canon Photo Stitch, Photoshop CS Photomerge, etc.). Photomerge has an advantage here because it supports fine corrections of the individual images at separate levels.

The image or file size, and thus the print quality is increased 2x to 2.4x, depending on the sensor size. This also applies to future cameras with 8, 10 and 12 megapixels!

The procedure is straightforward: photographers looking for extra quality mount single images manually in 16-bit mode to create file sizes of up to 90 Mbytes without fuss with cameras in the 6-megapixel class!

The procedure is suitable for all still-life takes, plus many landscape and architecture shots where there is no change during the 3 exposures. To obtain 3 separate files suitable for mounting, the lighting should be identical and the exposure setting (shutter speed/aperture) plus the white balance should be fixed manually.

In combination with the Novoflex BALPRO 1 or BALPRO T/S universal bellows, the useful focal length is between 80 and 150 mm, with the effective focal length approximately halved by the larger image field. In effect, the image area taken with a focal length of 150 mm corresponds to a single image taken at about 80 mm. At the same time, the sometimes unwanted increase in focal length is more than compensated for by the smaller chip size.

The Novoflex PROSHIFT+ adapter can be tilted for portrait or landscape format and offers all the benefits of the interchangeable Novoflex adapter system, so that a change of the camera system won't present any new problems.

The Novoflex PROSHIFT+ adapter can also be used with analog SLR cameras for normal photography with shift function.
